Commercial Waste Manager

Job Title: Commercial Waste Manager Type: Contract - Maternity Leave Location: Horsham Futures Recruitment is representing our client, a leading employer in Horsham, who is seeking a Commercial Waste Manager to cover maternity leave. The position offers a generous salary and requires work from Monday to Friday. As the Commercial Waste Manager, your main responsibility will be to manage the commercial waste team in the office and operational staff to ensure resources are deployed efficiently and to maintain a high level of customer service. You will be accountable for leading the development of various commercial services, including commercial waste and recycling, as well as implementing new revenue generation initiatives. Day-to-Day Duties: - Develop income-generating recycling and waste collection services and identify areas for development or improvement - Promote brand awareness for Commercial Waste - Coordinate with operational teams to ensure efficient service delivery - Work within budget constraints - Manage both formal and informal stages of performance management and procedures - Handle overall account management - Communicate with customers, clients, and members, dealing with contract negotiation and complaints in a professional manner Skills and Qualifications: - Management experience - Awareness of Health and Safety legislation - Experience in a customer service environment and strong communication skills - Income generation - developing new strategies - Budget management - Highly motivated and a self-starter Desirable Experience: - Managerial experience in an operational background - Knowledge of the waste industry - Educated to A level - Proven background with experience in income generation and a working knowledge of high volume, low margin service industries For more information, please apply today and one of our consultants will be in touch
