The Role
Reports to: Advanced Threats Lead
Location: WeWork HQ Waterloo - Hybrid Working (at least two times per week in the office)

iProov has continued to scale rapidly this year and is currently looking for a Synthetic Data Research Engineer, who specialises in the creation of synthetic imagery, to join the growing AI function in our talented Science & Research team based in London. You will be responsible for helping create the next generation of biometric security systems, solving cutting edge problems and working with the rest of the team to deploy the solutions.
How you’ll make an impact
- Create AI-generated synthetic imagery data for a variety of biometric applications
- Generate hyper-realistic 3D human models and deep fakes
- Develop systems for programmatic generation of diverse synthetic datasets
- Work with the rest of the team to facilitate the rapid development of security systems in response to evolving threats
We tend to look for people with
- Strong Python skills and experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch / Tensorflow)
- 2+ years of experience in Machine learning/Deep learning
- Experience generating data with GANs/Diffusion Models and similar techniques
- Experience in using Maya, Blender, Unity3D or similar (desirable)
- Bachelors or above in a numerate discipline such as computer science, engineering or related field
- You have good interpersonal skills and the confidence to state a clearly reasoned and articulated viewpoint
- You should be happy to take initiative in your tasks and be relatively self-organising
- You’re eager to ship releases and new features
- You’re able and willing to debate to put forward improvements to processes
