Job Description Job Title: Principal Engineer – Product SafetyLocation: Glasgow, Bristol, or Portsmouth. Salary: Up to £60,100 depending on qualifications and experienceWhat you’ll be doing: Facilitating the implementation of relevant Product Safety processes and production of deliverablesSupporting with the management of the hazards, risks and associated mitigations and contribute to the development of the hazard log and the maturity of information contained withinDeveloping safety arguments to go into the safety reportOrganising and facilitating HAZIDs and review meetings and contributing to other HAZIDs when requiredTaking responsibility for product safety assessment against major subsystems or key complex technologiesYour skills and experiences: Essential:Experience in product safety management processes and techniquesFamiliar with report writing and developing safety argumentsDesirable:Experience leading hazard identification meetingsBackground within a Naval/Maritime environment or similar highly regulated industryApplicants should ideally be Degree qualified or have equivalent experience, likely to be in a technology, engineering, science or IT related discipline.
