Design Engineer

White Label is representing an engineering business in Heckmondwike that have a requirement for a Design Engineer to join their team. The client is looking to bolster their engineering team with the role being heavily focused on design using Solidworks and PDM. My client is offering a salary of up to £40,000 depending on level of experience, 25 days holiday + bank holidays and pension. The working hours are 08:30 – 5 Monday to Thursday and 09:00 – 3 on Fridays with some flexibility around start/finish times. Responsibilities of the Design Engineer You will be responsible for taking a design project from start to finish. The main responsibilities are: * Producing 3D models from site surveys. * Checking and reviewing the drawings of other members of the team. * Studying design briefs and technical specifications. * Liaising with the shop floor to ensure projects are running correctly. * Following the product all the way through to manufacture. * Working on multiple projects at any one time. Requirements of the Design Engineer * 3D CAD experience (Ideally Solidworks) * Sheet Metal/Fabrication/Weldments/Heavy Fabrication would be advantageous. * Design for manufacturing experience.
