Right now, we are looking to recruit an experienced XRAY Radiographer with strong RPS knowledge to head up our mobile XRAY service and become our Radiation Protection Supervisor. What you will do:You will be responsible for ensuring that HomeMed patients get the best possible care and a great experience. You will be entrusted to produce high-quality diagnostic images to support the patients’ healthcare journey. You will deliver an effective and professional service at all times and support the CQC registered manager to ensure compliance to regulation is adhered to.What you are responsible for:Leading on all Radiation Protection duties for the businessLeading on all RP audits and inspectionsProviding a great experience for HomeMed patientsRunning quality assurance checks on equipment, reporting faultsReporting & investigating incidents and accidentsRespecting and working within patient's and service usersTriage of XRAY referrals as appropriateSupporting patient bookings and making sure patient information systems are maintained with accurate and up-to-date informationCompleting competency assessmentsAdhering to all operational proceduresMaintaining a clean and safe working environmentWe are looking for someone who has:BSc Radiography or equivalentMembership of an appropriate professional body and holds a valid registration (HCPC)A good understanding of fundamental XRAY procedures and different scanning techniquesA solid knowledge of Radiation Protection standards and regulations (Ideally you will have completed a one-day RPS course, however full training will be provided)A proven knowledge of the requirements of a radiographer’s role regarding the care of patients, their careers and other colleaguesA high level of professionalism and technical standard of workUnderstanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Caldicott Principles and GDPRA flexible approach to workA strong team player attitude, being supportive, caring, reliable and trustworthyThe ability to be calm when working under pressureA positive attitude towards their workThe passion for developing their career in radiographyYou should apply if you have experience in:Working with XRAY equipment in either a hospital, community or mobile settingBasic and routine XRAY examinationsInfection control training, manual handling, basic life supportHealth & safety policies and procedures with imaging equipmentWorking in a multi-disciplinary teamRadiation Protection (essential)What's in it for you25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)Company pension contributionVitality Health Private medical insurance and benefitsAn opportunity to join a growing businessOngoing professional support and developmentThis is an exciting period for HomeMed Healthcare and a great time to join us!                                           If you are interested in applying for the position, we would love to hear from you.
