Mayday Personnel is pleased to be working with an established company based on the outskirts of Totton, Hampshire. Our client is looking to recruit a Digital Print Operator to join their friendly accredited team.

The role is paying between 24,000 to 26,000 per year depending on the level of experience. The working hours are 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday.

The role would suit someone who is computer literate with experience in using Adobe Illustrator, along with being detail-orientated, able to do heavy lifting of big rolls of materials, and a keen interest or experience within graphics/design work.

The successful applicants should be able to work on their own initiative and be happy to work in a small team.

Duties:

  • Operating and monitoring wide format digital printing equipment including laminators, printers and plotting machines
  • Preparing and setting up printing jobs by adjusting print settings and ensuring the correct calibration of equipment
  • Unloading heavy rolls of materials into the store cupboard and into the machines ready for printing
  • Working closely with the team to schedule and prioritise print jobs, ensuring deadlines are met and production schedules are maintained
  • Conducting regular quality checks during the printing process to ensure colour accuracy, print clarity and overall print quality
  • Maintaining accurate records of print jobs, consumables and material usage
  • Identifying and troubleshooting issues with the printing equipment and liaise with the relevant parties to resolve any issues promptly
  • Perform routine maintenance on digital printing equipment to ensure optimal performance

Skills:

  • Computer literate with experience in using Adobe Illustrator is required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to carry out some heavy manual handling tasks
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
