Family Support Worker Liverpool £18/hr Start date: ASAP Full time: Mon - Fri 36/hrs a week Job Type: Hybrid Hatched Recruitment is working closely with the local authorities and we are looking for a Family Support Worker in the Liverpool area. The Liverpool Assessment Service require 5 family support workers to work 5 days per week to support with the delivery of interventions to children and their families subject to a LON4 assessment. Main Areas of Responsibility: * To assist and support families by contributing to the development and implementation of support programmes, to help assess the needs of children, to help prevent home/placement breakdown and reduce and manage risk * To provide high level/intensive support to children, young people and families via direct work programmes and other creative / innovative methods of intervention both in and out of usual office hours in accordance with need and service requirements * Contribute to planning and organisation of an appropriate range of resources, to liaise with other professionals, statutory, voluntary and community resources to ensure the best possible service is provided to the service user * Maintain accurate, appropriate, and timely records of work undertaken and carry out required administration procedures in accordance with practice standards, including Contact Records, Reviews, Child Protection Conference Reports, and Court Reports which must be stored in accordance with current and identified practices Essential NVQ Level 3 in child care and education, NND, Health and Social Care qualification. Experience of direct work with children, young people and their families Experience of effective collaborative and multi-agency working to support children and families. Experience of delivering outreach and home based support to children and families to address areas of identified need Ability to communicate effectively, using good written and verbal skills with children, families, other professions and multi-disciplinary organisations in a wide range situation and at different levels. Ability to maintain accurate, reflective records in accordance with Recording with Care guidelines. Ability to work alone and as part of a team across a range of services including Health, Education, Children's Centres, School's Family Support Service, etc. to support parents in meeting the needs of their children. Work flexibly to support the overall operation of the Service Desirable Ability to collaborate effectively and work in partnership with parents and professionals. Demonstrated knowledge of child development. Sound knowledge of signs and symptoms of Child Protection issues. Experience of delivering practical parenting strategies. Candidates must hold a full UK licence and have access to a car and laptop
