DevOps Engineer

Futureheads is excited to partner with a highly known cycling brand that sell high quality goods and accessories. They are looking for highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join their diverse team. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the development pipeline, automating infrastructure, and optimising deployment processes. As well as collaborating closely with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to manage code releases, implement continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and ensure our systems are secure, reliable, and scalable. Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, build, and maintain infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate code testing, integration, and deployment processes. Cloud Services Management: Manage and optimise cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure) to ensure cost-efficiency, scalability, and high availability. Monitoring & Logging: Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools like Grafana or CloudWatch. Automation: Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline operations and improve system reliability. Security & Compliance: Ensure security best practices are followed in system configurations, deployments, and operations. Implement automated security scanning and testing within the CI/CD pipelines Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the development and deployment processes and propose improvements to increase efficiency. Requirements: 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Proficiency in scripting languages (NodeJS, Python, etc.). Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab). Exposure to database management, and query languages like SQL Certifications and Tools: ● Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar. ● Experience with Microservices: Understanding and experience in deploying and managing microservices architectures. ● Security Focus: Experience with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into the DevOps lifecycle If this sounds like the role for you, please get in touch.
