Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer Based UK Midlands or North Competitive basic + overtime + pension + hybrid car + healthcare Company A leading manufacturer of high speed robotic packaging machines for use primarily in FMCG sectors inc food, confectionary, pharma and cosmetics. Reporting to Head of Technical Services this is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated/established Field Service/Aftermarket team supporting customers throughout the UK and Ireland, (there will occasionally be a requirement to support overseas, but this is rare). Responsibilities Responsible for troubleshooting, preventative & corrective maintenance, installation and commissioning of equipment at customers sites. Working on electrical systems, PC controls, PLC controls, servo drives & controls, mechanical and pneumatic systems. Identify possible sales opportunities and report back to the Technical lead. Collaborating with a dynamic team to deliver high quality service levels. Extensive travel across customer sites in the UK and Ireland. The Candidate Minimum 3 yrs experience in a similar service role ideally gained working with packaging machinery, processing machinery or automated solutions used in process industries Strong background in mechatronics and/or electronics Knowledge of electrical systems, PLC controls and mechanical & pneumatic systems Understanding of servo drives and control systems Ability to work under pressure and solve technical problems efficiently and effectively Comfortable with the unpredictable nature of a Field Service role combined with excellent communication and administration skills.
