SEMH Teaching Assistant Role in Lambeth – Start Your Journey This September! GSL Education is searching for a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic school in Lambeth, beginning in September 2024. If you have a passion for supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, this long-term contract role is your chance to make a lasting impact. About the Role: As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you’ll be a key figure in guiding students through their educational journey, particularly those facing SEMH challenges. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide personalised assistance, helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals in a nurturing environment. What We’re Looking For: Challenging Behaviour Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage and support students with challenging behaviour. Experience in a SEN school setting is highly advantageous. SEMH Expertise: A deep understanding of the needs of students with SEMH and the ability to adapt your approach accordingly. Patience and Adaptability: The resilience to handle challenging situations with calmness and the flexibility to meet the diverse needs of students. Collaboration Skills: A team player who can effectively communicate and work with others to support student development.
