A Good-rated school in Haringey is seeking a dedicated SENCO to join their inclusive and dynamic team on a permanent basis starting in January 2025. The Role: * Position: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) * Start Date: January 2025 * Location: Haringey * Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage the school’s provision for students with SEND. * Develop and implement strategies to ensure students with special educational needs are fully supported to reach their full potential. * Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to coordinate and monitor SEND provision. * Oversee the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure they are implemented effectively. * Provide leadership and training to staff on inclusive practices and SEND strategies. * Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain up-to-date records for all SEND students. What We’re Looking For: * A qualified SENCO with a National Award for SEN Coordination or working towards it. * Experience working with children with SEND, demonstrating a clear understanding of the challenges and strategies for support. * Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across the school. * A proactive, compassionate, and inclusive approach to supporting students. * Knowledge of current SEND legislation and policies. * The ability to work well under pressure and maintain excellent organisational skills.
