Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor
Location: Macclesfield
Salary: £43,500 pa + 25 Holidays, Great Pension contribution, Retail & Healthcare discounts

Working a Monday Friday day shifts, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the machine shop, dealing with planned and reactive job orders.

You will lead a team of CNC operators and machinists, coordinating production activities and controlling resources. This is a crucial role for optimizing workflow, troubleshooting, and ensuring service levels are achieved ultimately leading to the manufacturer of the best products in the market and most importantly, happy customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage the manufacturing team to deliver the best possible results achieving departmental KPI s and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Lead team members, and ensuring staffing levels, recruitment, training, appraisals, attendance, issues, and daily supervision are efficient.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, allow creativity and support new processes to optimize machine shop performance.
• Support maintenance teams to ensure all machines are serviced and maintained, dealing with malfunctions and breakdowns quickly.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following experience

• 3 years in supervisory or management role within the manufacturing sector, ideally in a manufacturing/assembly environment.
• Ability to work in a reactive environment and manage multiple tasks at once.
• Proven experience of working collaboratively with other departments including, finance, HR, project teams and senior management.
• Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement change, streamlining performance and getting consistent results.
• A technical qualification engineering/manufacturing would be highly advantageous, ideally HNC/HND or equivalent.
