About the Role:
As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our prototype team, turning engineering concepts and drawings into high-quality, customer-ready prototypes. You will work closely with design and production teams, ensuring accuracy and functionality in every project you undertake. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with diverse projects, tackle unique design challenges, and make a significant impact on our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and produce prototypes based on 2D engineering drawings.
- Utilise your knowledge of manufacturing processes to create high-quality prototypes.
- Evaluate designs for functionality, manufacturability, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design and assembly challenges.
- Take ownership of projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
What You'll Need:
- Experience in relevant manufacturing processes (experience in a prototype environment is a plus).
- Strong ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings (familiarity with 2D CAD is advantageous).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with effective time management abilities.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- A full driving license is preferred.
