Position Sough: Assistant Quantity Surveyor Company: Utilities Contractor Project: Remediation Works Client: Thames Water Location: East London Contract: Freelance/Temp to Perm We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant QS working on a multi-million pound Sewerage Treatment works as part of a Thames Water contract. The AQS will be involved in the essential remediation works for a 7.5km long Sewer Tunnel which is a critical waste water assets running across East London. The AQS will be responsible for the following; Produce and send enquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender and engage with the supply chainReceive and analyse quotations, liaising with Contracts Managers and Site Agents regarding price, proven history, availability etc.Notify in writing both successful and unsuccessful subcontractors in a timely mannerProduce and process formal subcontract documents and certify interim and final payments and final subcontract accountProduce bill of quantity/activity schedule for payment purposesProduce cash flow forecasts for internal and client purposesMonitor and control income and expenditure on contracts e.g., interim/final applications for payment/final accounts/payments for late monies etc. liaising where necessary with the relevant people e.g., engineers, clients etc.Produce relevant monthly reports for the Commercial Manager e.g., cost and value comparisons, turnover forecasts etc. ensuring information is complete and accurateIf you would like to apply for the role, or are interested in finding out more information, please apply with your CV.
