Senior C++ Developer – Hybrid (4 days WFH) – Stockport

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Oversee development tasks for yourself and junior developers, ensuring all scrum board tickets are current and accurate.
- Project Delivery: Guarantee that deliverables meet or exceed project plans and specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct peer reviews to uphold high development standards.
- Technical Design: Develop technical designs that fulfill business requirements.
- Innovation & Quality: Lead initiatives to enhance the quality and performance of the products.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Product and Development Managers to guide the product roadmap.
- Security & Maintenance: Keep software secure and current with the latest best practices.
Essential Skills:
- Expertise in C/C++ (v17): Advanced skills in C/C++.
- Build Tools: Experience with Jenkins or similar.
- API Design: Strong knowledge of API design using SOAP and REST.
- Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts.
- Cross-Platform Development: Experience in Windows, Linux, and Web platforms.
- System Design: Proficient in designing scalable, concurrent, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Debugging: Excellent diagnostic and debugging skills.
- Source Control: Proficient in GIT and source control systems.
- Automated Testing: Familiarity with automated testing techniques.
- Linux Proficiency: Strong background in the Linux operating system.
Desirable Skills:
- Database Management: Experience with RDBMS, particularly Oracle and SQL Server.
- Development Tools: Knowledge of Node.js and Docker.
- Cloud Services: Familiarity with AWS or other cloud environments.
Nice to Haves:
- Web Development: Experience with frameworks like React and Angular.
