Job DescriptionRole Division: Field ServiceBased: Field Based (Cardiff)Reporting to: Regional Service ManagerContract: Perm, Full timeWe are looking for someone who has a technical aptitude around mechanical or electrical components.We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a Field Service Technical Specialist based in the mentioned area. Applicants will already reside in the area of cover.We are looking for candidates with experience working in the field of repairing multifunctional photo copier devices or with experience (or related qualifications) in repairing electronic and/or electro-mechanical systems. E.G. IT hardware, domestic appliances, vending machines to mention a few and such experience could be field or workshop based. If you have the relevant background, experience and hunger to learn Kyocera will provide all the necessary basic and advanced technical training to make you a highly competent Field Specialist in our market leading print hardware and software applications.The individual will provide technical assistance to assigned KYOCERA Managed Document Services accounts within timescales specified by SLAs.Main Responsibilities will include:Provide technical assistance to assigned KYOCERA Managed Document Services accounts within timescales specified by SLAsEffectively investigate and rectify faults reported by KMDS and channel partner end usersPerform routine maintenance and modifications/updates as requiredProvide support during installationsUnderstand and be fully conversant with SLAs relating to assigned KMDS accountsUnderstand solutions in use and be able to carry out basic fault findingBack up colleagues when necessary – e.g holiday, sickness, busy periodsLog call details using the call logging system within agreed timescalesReport reoccurring faults to enable proactive management of such faultsShare expertise and technical information with team membersBuild relationships with key stakeholders within KMDS accounts at all timesEnsure boot stock and/or site stock is maintained at specified levelsAttend product courses as requested to ensure knowledge base sufficient for job roleThe persons experienceFull UK drivers license requiredPrevious experience of working in a field technical support environment preferably within the MFP/copier/print arenaCity & Guilds or similar qualificationAbility to think through problems in a logical manner to enable speedy and accurate resolution of issuesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure first class customer serviceWhat we can offer youSalary (Competitive)25 days holiday (All statutory bank holidays relevant to regional country) – 1 extra day after 5 years.
