In this role, you will lead the delivery of complex scientific and technical projects focused on therapeutic research and technology development. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure strategic goals are translated into clear, actionable project plans. You will be responsible for managing multiple interrelated projects, aligning resources, and ensuring that milestones are met on time and within budget. Partner with Functional Heads and Project Sponsors to align projects with broader organisational goals. Lead the planning, execution, and completion of interrelated projects within the portfolio. Support the Portfolio Lead in prioritizing projects and balancing resources effectively. Oversee financial forecasting, tracking budgets, and ensuring data accuracy across project management systems. Provide strategic and operational clarity for stakeholders and project teams, ensuring that milestones, risks, and resources are properly managed. Drive continuous improvement by applying best practices, documenting lessons learned, and refining project methodologies. Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. Manage risks, develop contingency plans, and lead risk assessment processes to ensure successful project outcomes. A BSc or higher in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field. A strong scientific foundation is essential for understanding project goals and challenges. Significant experience in managing complex projects or programmes, ideally in early-stage research, drug discovery, or life sciences. Formal project management qualifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are highly desirable. Experience in grant management. Strong project planning and organisational skills. Skilled in balancing project management tools to optimize portfolio delivery.
