Male Mental Health Support Worker Location - Liverpool £11.55 per hour Role Description – Mental Health Support Worker Gray Healthcare are recruiting a new team of mental health support workers within the Netherley area of Liverpool to support a gentleman in his 50's who has a diagnosis of Frontal Lobe Damage and Learning Disabilities who be living independently in his own home receiving 1:1 support 24 hours a day. He will be supported by a male only team on mixed shifts of days and waking nights. We are recruiting drivers only for this role as the individual we support will have a mobility vehicle to access the community. Mental Health Support Worker Required Skills and Experience * Full UK Driving License – Essential. * Social care experience, ideally within mental health and with some experience of supporting individuals with Schizophrenia. * Experience providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities. * Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging. * Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments. * You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months. We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available and are unable to consider sponsorship. * This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references Hours 12 hour day contract 1 x12 hour shift per week and 2 sleeps @ £100 per sleep & 12 hour day contract 1 x12 hour shift per week and 1 sleep @ £100 per sleep Induction and Training We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training. (Company induction, systems, and Medication.) Followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, this is a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint dominate approaches. You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting.
