The Consumer, Market and Strategic Insights Marketing Manager will play a key role within the global marketing organization. She/he will manage consumer and market insights development, market research projects, and data analysis.


She/he will synthetize these into deep understanding of our key stakeholders (consumers & HCPs) and the market, and use this knowledge to support category strategy, marketing initiatives, and product pipeline development. Specifically, she/he will focus on the following areas:

  • understanding the key stakeholders & dynamics influencing the business, with a priority focus on consumers and HCPs
  • enabling strategic decisions relating consumers programs, customers and portfolio management
  • partner with the Category and HCP marketing teams to identify new growth opportunities for the business,
  • help qualify marketing and product related innovation through relevant qualitative and quantitative research.


Key Responsibilities-

  • Synthesize data from disparate sources including syndicated data, ad hoc consumer research, trends etc.
  • Identify stakeholders’ relevant and actionable insights and share within the organization
  • Perform market research to understand industry trends, consumer fundamentals, and competitors
  • Manage syndicated research process and reporting (e.g. market share, brand health metrics)
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to understand the needs of the business and recommend insight’s related and /or research related solutions to address key questions
  • Actively participate in Category and HCP marketing thinking and influence strategic decisions based on insight analysis and data
  • Leverage her/his knowledge to proactively bring new ideas to stakeholders to help develop and refine brand strategies
  • Lead development of research learning programs to meet business objectives
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to design research programs that will help qualify innovative ideas, marketing communication and concepts, customer (HCP) programs etc.
  • Work with category teams to integrate customer insights into the product development lifecycle qualification
  • Identify, qualify and manage network of research agencies and consultants (cost efficient)
  • Explore new capabilities & developments within the evolving world of consumer insights and share best practices with team
  • Establish insight knowledge sharing system and Database repository


Requirements-

  • University Degree in Marketing, Marketing focus or equivalent/ MBA in Business Administration Preferred
  • 10+ years in OTC/consumer health industry in consumers insight/market research or similar role
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in research agency
  • Market research related skills (research methodologies, agency management, data analytics, statistical tools etc.)
  • Proven strategic thinking fed by analytical mind and ability to envision opportunities
  • Good understanding of OTC environment in European type of markets
  • High agility level acting with speed - has courage to take appropriate risks.
  • Self-starter and self-driven
  • Strong creativity – thinks out of the box – creates solutions even if challenging.
  • Can easily navigate in ambiguous environment and intensely relies on intuition to drive ideas – can effectively bring strong rational to intuition.
  • Externally focused - driven by adding value to consumers and customers.
