Senior Engineer, Data Engineering

From this continued success we are now looking to recruit Data Engineer to allow us to continue our exciting growth plans. This is a 12-month fixed term contract. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimizing data flows, and ensuring data integrity across various systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for solving complex data challenges. Design, develop, and implement data solutions on the Azure cloud platform, including data ingestion, data transformation, and data storage. Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration workflows using Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks. Automate the deployment, monitoring, and management of data pipelines and data solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and define data models Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on Azure cloud platform. In-depth knowledge of Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Storage, Azure DevOps etc. Strong programming skills in languages like SQL, Python, and PowerShell. Experience with Apache Spark, Tableau and Power Platform would be beneficial At Propel, we embrace hybrid working and with modern offices in Newport, London and Manchester, plus a field-based sales team, you’ll never be too far away from colleagues.
