Head of Credit Analysis

Position Overview A Senior Private Credit Banker responsible for originating, structuring,executing and managing private credit transactions. This role involves working closely with clients, assessing their financing needs, and developing tailored credit solutions. The individual will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with corporate and institutional clients. The candidate will build a small but effective Private Credit team, initially in the UK, but with a global remit, in due course. You will be part of a senior management team, with ambitions to build a multi-faceted corporate and institutional financial services provider. Key Responsibilities Origination and Structuring: Meeting with potential clients and develop a pipeline of opportunities Evaluating private credit opportunities, for capital markets distribution. Developing and structuring bespoke credit solutions for clients. Preparing and presenting detailed credit proposals to potential investors. Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with corporates, financial sponsors and institutional clients. Providing ongoing advisory and support to clients, ensuring their financing needs are met. Conduct regular client, and potential client, meetings to assess support required in meeting their financing requirements. Risk Management: Working with the team, perform detailed credit risk assessments and due diligence. Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Market Analysis: Conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends and developments. Providing insights and recommendations based on market analysis. Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams and external service providers, including legal, compliance, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of transactions. Collaborating with other bankers and financial advisors to cross-sell products and services. Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of all client interactions and transactions. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, or a related field. Proven track record of originating and managing private credit transactions. Skills: Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. In-depth knowledge of credit markets and products. Strong negotiation and structuring skills.
