We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager for London. The successful applicant will be required to optimise performance and drive revenue and occupancy, whilst managing and improving performance over 10 stores, with 35 team members, and a geographical spread from Kennington to Croydon. As well as maintaining good relationships with all elements of the business, you will also be accountable for the below. Key responsibilities: Delivering the area’s agreed annual forecast for sales and costs, growing area revenue and profitability. Leading, coaching and developing the Store Managers in identifying opportunities for the growth of storage income, to achieve the targets set. Developing the Store Managers to identify sales opportunities in their local trading environment, through competitor awareness and local business opportunities. Ensuring the area delivers exceptional customer experiences through the correct delivery of customer service ethics and standards. Driving the area customer feedback results, ensuring results and trends are monitored and discussed with stores. Role modelling Company values and behaviours and creating an inclusive and diverse environment where people feel respected and listened to. Delivering a positive working environment, providing regular praise and encouragement. Providing timely, focused and balanced feedback on performance to individuals within the team. Communicating regularly with the teams across the business, as appropriate. Managing optimum store staffing structures, within budget. Undertaking regular, documented visits of stores, to ensure all business requirements are met. Sustaining a culture of operational excellence and ensuring store compliance to Company policies, procedures and instructions, as laid out in relevant Company manuals. Managing and reviewing the area audit performance and improving profit protection measures. Supporting the delivery of new store openings in the correct timescales and to the correct Company standards. Experience in remote management is essential for this role and experience in driving revenue and developing your team are imperative. The successful candidate will therefore be able to demonstrate the following attributes: Key Attributes: An effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills. The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members, customers, suppliers, and key steak holders at all levels alike. The ability to recruit, build and motivate a high performing sales team. Strong management and leadership skills. Good sales experience and a proven track record of coaching and developing staff. Strong analytical skills to spot opportunities for improvement and praise. Multi-site and remote management experience. Customer centric focused. The ability to work effectively under pressure. Strategic thinking and the ability to solve problems and enhance operational methodology. Project management skills. The role is full time, with the ability to work one day a week from home.
