Business Development Manager Salary: Up to £25,000 per year + industry-leading commission structure Location: Leeds (covering South/West Yorkshire and East Midlands) We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven Business Development Manager to join a family-run waste management company based in Sheffield. With continued growth, they are looking for a tenacious individual to secure new business accounts, nurture relationships, and drive sales across Leeds. This field-based role involves proactive lead generation and customer engagement, as well as supporting our sales team with various activities. In Return, You Will Receive: A basic salary of up to £25,000 with an industry-leading commission structure. Company car provided. Company pension scheme. Bonus scheme and additional commission pay. Flexibility within working hours to suit the right candidate.Requirements to be a Business Development Manager: Previous experience in sales, preferably within the Waste Management sector. Proven track record in selling contracted services and exceeding sales targets. Resilient, with the ability to handle rejection and work in all weather conditions. Social media savvy, with the ability to reach prospects online. Strong communication and rapport-building skills, with a persistent and confident approach. Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager: Identify and secure new business accounts through proactive cold calling, door knocks, and other lead generation methods. Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets, managing your personal sales pipeline. Build strong relationships with clients, acting as the key interface between customers and internal teams. Effectively use and update our bespoke CRM system and other sales records.
