Rail Systems Engineer

We are working with a fantastic, leading Telecommunications company who are currently looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis. Oversee the full project lifecycle, including R&D, build, testing, and implementation of secure communication and data network systems. Provide training to system engineers, support staff, field service engineers, and end users on new systems, with continued refresh training throughout the project’s life cycle. Support the installation and configuration of secure data networks (routing, switching, VPNs), using equipment from Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet and more. Assist field engineers during first-of-class system installs and provide remote and on-site technical support as needed. Participate in a duty on-call rota, providing critical after-hours support with financial incentives for high-priority issue resolution. Strong expertise in data networking (routing, switching, VPN), with a preferred degree-level qualification. Hands-on experience with technologies and equipment such as Cisco, Fortinet, Windows OS, Linux OS, fibre networks, and secure telephony systems. Cisco CCNA or equivalent
