Transport Planner

Major Talent are looking for a Transport Planner to join a long-standing food company in Staffordshire. As a Transport Planner you will aim to minimise costs through efficient transport planning. As a Transport Planner, you will: Provide efficient transport plan that meets customer demand Optimize transport costs in collaboration with third party logistics supplier. Record all outbound vehicle movements and associated costs Raising PO's for transport costs and resolving inconsistences Processing transport claims and updating trackers SAP housekeeping to include monitoring & clearing of information documents, stock control, and packaging queries. Provision of holiday and absence cover in customer services. Use of customer portals to book and manage orders. Flag potential order shorts an liaise with planning team to resolve. Manage stakeholder expectations Consolidate deliveries A successful Transport Planner will have: Experience within Transport Planning Experience using SAP & Excel Work to deadlines and have great problem-solving skills Salary - £29,250 per annum 'Major Recruitment act as an employment agency for permanent roles and an employment business for temporary opportunities'.
