Sliding Head Machinist / Near Hazlemere / £17 - 26 ph / Days or Shift
Are you an experienced Sliding Head Machinist? You could be progressing your career at a well reputed mid-sized family run company.
You will be based in a busy machine shop, you will have to freedom to work on a variety of Sliding Head lathes. Setting, operating and programming for bespoke pieces.
This opportunity will suit you if you enjoy having flexibility at work and have a can-do attitude. The work environment is very relaxed, no micromanaging involved.
There is also flexibility with hours as the machine shop is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will have your own keys/fobs so you can come and go to do overtime as you please.

Location: Based near Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire
Hours: 36 hours a week with the optional to choose between days or rotating shift
Day shift: 8:30 4:30pm (flexibility on changing start/finish time to skip traffic etc)
Rotating shift: Shift uplift of 1.33x rate. 6am 2pm for 2 weeks, followed by 2 10pm for 2 weeks and so on
Overtime: 1.5x rate, available 7 days a weeks
Sliding Head Machinist Duties/Requirements:
- Setting, operating and program Sliding Head Lathes (Citizen)
- Experience with Sliding Head Lathes (Citizen is desirable)
- Reading and following technical drawings to program bespoke parts
- Experienced with producing low and high-volume batches
- A can-do attitude training can be provided for the right person
Salary: £17 - 20 per hour on days. £22 - £26 per hour on shift (doe)
