Job DescriptionWe are looking to recruit a talented and commercial lawyer to join our Office of the General Counsel advisory team on a fixed term contract basis for 6-12 months. This is a unique chance to contribute significantly to a range of complex, often strategic matters globally, working closely with our Commercial and Regulatory team within the OGC.Our OGC team, comprising over 35 lawyers, acts as the internal legal function, ensuring regulatory compliance and managing legal risk. This role focuses on significant commercial contracts and supports our offices worldwide, reflecting our flexible and agile work culture.In this role, you will be responsible for: Legal: Provide wide-ranging legal advice, contribute to training on risk and compliance, and undertake company secretarial activities. Compliance: Enhance the compliance strategy and assist in regulatory obligations, including GDPR compliance. Risk Management: Develop the risk management culture, advise on matters increasing firm risk, and support on new office openings.To succeed in this role, you will: Be a UK qualified lawyer with at least 2 years' PQE, possessing commercial, risk, and compliance experience. Have the ability to deliver tailored legal support, with excellent communication skills. Possess knowledge of regulatory regimes in the UK, with additional jurisdictions being advantageous. Have strong influencing skills, team-oriented yet able to work independently.
