Hire Desk Controller

Company Overview:Coinford is a groundworks and concrete frame specialist that delivers contracts ranging from £1million to £50million throughout London and the Southeast of England. This role works out of Coinford Plant Ltd, Redehall Industrial Yard.Role Purpose/Objective:As the first point of contact our hire desk controller plays a pivotal role in driving our business success, by building strong customer relationships, understanding hire needs and ensuring we meet customer expectations. This is a challenging fast paced and rewarding role.Key Responsibilities:The Hire Desk operative ensures all orders are produced and processed within the required timescales including cross hires, off hires and exchanges, via phone and email in a professional manner in accordance with site requests. Manage and resolve any issues or complaints that arise during the hire period, ensuring that our Construction division needs are met, and any problems are rectified promptly.To assist in the asset purchasing of Mechanical and Non-Mechanical plant, ensuring all company policies and processes are adhered too.Checking orders for consistency on prices. Creation of advice notes to allow asset disposal/charge to site. Ensure all invoices are checked and ready for approval in a timely fashion.Organising/chasing cross hire orders with suppliers.Communicating and being a helpful point of contact for our site enquiriesExperience/skills required:The right candidate must have good communication skills and a proven successful team working background.Knowledge of plant and equipment types, specifications, and appropriate uses. Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations and best practices within the plant hire industry. Some previous experience of purchasing plant consumables.Computer literate.Proficient in using plant hire software and systems Work well under pressure.Must be able to meet deadlines.This list of tasks is non exhaustiveQualifications:Minimum GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Mathematic.
