Senior PHP Developer Tech : PHP, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Symfony Location : remote with travel to Reading Area office on day 1 and quarterly Do you have 4+ years experience using PHP? Do you ideally have 1+ years' experience using NodeJS? Have you had input into architectural decisions on development projects and mentored and coached other developers? A forward thinking Software Vendor is looking for a Senior PHP Developer to be part of the internal IT systems development team. You will work in an agile environment with other teams (including product development, sales, support, and marketing) to deliver business applications based largely on web technologies. An exciting future project will involve supporting a Greenfield SaaS Platform build using modern NodeJS. This is a great opportunity to use your expertise whilst having the opportunity use modern technology and methodologies to create exciting products for clients. Responsibilities include: Senior PHP Developer Design, code, test, document, maintain, and support web-based applications Contribute to requirements, design specification, and technical documentation Research emerging technologies and products; recommend suitable products and plan implementation Contribute to project planning (agile development) Support and suggest architectural decisions Lead code reviews; coach and mentor Experience Required: Senior PHP Developer 4+ years' commercial software development experience using PHP Ideally 1+ years' commercial experience using NodeJS Experience coaching or mentoring Experience leading code reviews and supporting architectural decisions Beneficial experience using Symfony Experience with Object-oriented techniques and relational databases (MySQL or Postgres would be ideal) Collaborative approach to develop and maintain professional working relationships Strong written and verbal communication skills For more information, please contact Katie at Matched.
