Management Accountant

5 month FTC - Contract scheduled to be until end of Jan 2025

Reports To: Finance Manager

Hybrid working - At least 2 days in the office which is based in London Luton Airport.

Salary = £35,000 - £40,000

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for selected accounts, managing both Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet aspects, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Review monthly P&L results against the company's internal budgets
• Deliver insightful variance analysis to explain key differences
• Oversee the preparation of timely, accurate, and meaningful balance sheet reconciliations in collaboration with Support Services to ensure high-quality outputs
• Lead ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed, which is a major part of the role
• Assist the UK Finance Manager by coaching team members when necessary
• Actively collaborate with senior management to deepen their financial understanding and help optimize financial performance

Experience:

• Qualified or Part qualified Accountant (ACA,CIMA, ACCA)
• Proven ability to influence various stakeholders
• Ability to explain financial information to both financial and non-financial audience
• Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Knowledge of Sage/SAP highly desirable
• Management accounts and month end experience is essential
