Located in the heart of the Merchant district in the city centre of Glasgow, The Social Hub will operate around 500 rooms, retail spaces, a restaurant and rooftop-bar, as well as a thriving co-working community. You have plenty of experience gained in various kitchens, preferably internationally along with excellent communication skills that enable you to delegate effectively. What You'll DoEnsure all resources are available to cooks to enable them to perform their tasks in a proper and timely mannerProper communication to cooks of daily specials, menu changes and special (dietary) needs of guestsAct as a role model while taking part in service - preparing and cooking dishes, tidying and cleaning the partieMonitor portion and waste control to maintain profit marginsMonitor incoming goods - such as supplies, ingredients and prefabricated foodsMonitor accurate execution of safety guidelines, fire safety policy and working conditionsWho You AreMinimum of 1 year's relevant work experience in a similar role at a similar level kitchenStrong knowledge of food products according to market standardsExcellent knowledge of modern cooking techniquesYou're fluent in EnglishYou're legally allowed to work in the UKWhat We OfferThe opportunity to work at a dynamic, multi-national company.
