Production Planning Assistant FMCG ManufacturingWe are searching for an organised and analytical individual who is looking to grow a career within production and manufacturing to join a growing FMCG business based in Harrogate.Key Benefits:Up to £28,000 pa, dependent on experienceCompany Pension PlanPrivate Medical Insurance – After 6 monthsDeath in Service (4x Salary)Additional Company BenefitsThe Candidate and Role:We’re searching for a detail-oriented, proactive and analytic individual with prior planning and procurement experience in FMCG environment to join this established, yet growing manufacturer. Reporting directly to the Planning Manager, this is a critical role in ensuring that production operations are constantly well-equipped, informed, and set for success. Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.Key Responsibilities:Managing the short-term production schedule, effectively communicating any changes across the business.Inventory management and weekly stock assessments at the Leeds warehouse; adjusting logistical requirements based on production outcomes.Co-ordinating raw material to arrive on site for production on a ‘just in time’ basis.Handling works orders, monitoring stock movements, and ensuring accurate matching of delivery notes to purchase orders.Actively contributing to continuous improvement, assisting in stock takes, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring data is correctly inputted and KPIs are on track.Supporting and deputising for the Planning Manager when required; utilising Orchestrate to generate production plans.About you:Previous experience in a Planning role, ideally within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.A natural problem solver, with a proactive approach and ability to react and adapt to changing circumstances.Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.A full clean driving licence, with access to own vehicle.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis. Exceptional organisation and time management skills; able to effectively manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.Our ClientOur client is a Harrogate super brand who produce a globally recognised product within the FMCG industry.
