Join a well-established, family-run Electrical Contractor with 40 years of experience. Based in North East London, our relaxed office provides a fun working environment with a close-knit team of about ten members.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our clients team. While experience is preferred, they are open to training the right candidate, potentially an experienced Contracts Manager looking to transition into estimating.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce electrical tenders ranging from £50k to £3m alongside the Managing Director, ensuring timely delivery.
• Review supplier and subcontractor quotations for compliance and best value.
• Develop basic designs for tender purposes, requiring detailed knowledge of electrical systems.
• Collaborate with our buyer daily to price works accurately.
• Maintain and develop professional relationships with clients and supply chain partners.
• Utilise your comprehensive knowledge of all electrical systems to contribute to the team’s success.
• Work closely with colleagues to brainstorm ideas and solutions for challenging tenders.

Requirements

• Must have hands-on experience as an electrician, whether recently or in the past (qualified electrician status required).
• Extensive experience in industrial/commercial sectors; residential experience is not applicable.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable building relationships with clients both over the phone and in person.
• Excellent decision-making skills and commercial awareness.
• Willingness to travel into London for job site visits.
