Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Front End Software Engineer to join our growing team. You will have expertise in developing reliable, high-usage, multi-tenanted front ends for image and information review, analytics, and reporting. In this role, you will contribute to the development of our data and reporting ecosystem within AWS, extend our build and release pipelines, and help design and develop new products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feature Development: Develop and maintain high-quality, user-facing features that align with our product strategy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX and product teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Architecture: Build and optimise front-end architecture using React, Angular, and Node.js.
- Performance Optimisation: Drive performance improvements by identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- UI Components: Design, develop, and implement reusable UI components.
- Web Application Architecture: Construct and maintain front-end architecture for our web applications.
- Code Quality: Conduct thorough code reviews to enhance code quality and maintainability.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and efficiently resolve front-end issues.
- Customer Interaction: Meet with customers and the Product team to understand use cases and gain feedback.
- Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests and contribute to the development and maintenance of the test suite.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Extensive knowledge of modern frontend frameworks such as React and Angular.
- Proficient understanding of Node.js.
- Expertise in UX design principles.
- Strong understanding of web standards, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Ability to work with testing methodologies and write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Knowledge of responsive web design principles.
- Understanding of code versioning tools, primarily Git.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IAC).
- Experience with CI/CD tools, including GitHub Actions.
- Good understanding of security best practices, such as OWASP.
- Strong communication skills.
- Awareness of AWS (desired).
