Manual Turner

Westwood Recruitment are currently on the lookout for a Manual Turner for our client based in Stockport on a permanent basis with an immediate start available. Our client manufactures its own products as well as one offs and small batch work. Role Responsibilities: * Use precision measurement equipment effectively and accurately * Be continuously making attempts to help improve productivity and work methods * Reading engineering drawings to customer specifications accurately * Work to company & COSHH regulations whilst being aware of risk assessments and work procedures * Ensure that all relevant documentation is completed * Ensure equipment is regularly maintained to be in good working order and to report any faults immediately * Keeping the work area tidy and free from obstacles Role Requirements: * Experience as a Manual Turner/Centre Lathe Turner is essential * Either have a City & Guilds/NVQ in Engineering or be time served * Experience operating on XYZ machinery is beneficial but not essential * Able to read and interpret engineering drawings * Can work independently Benefits: * Salary is £27,000 to £30,000 dependent on experience * 32 days holiday * Day shifts * Company pension * On-site parking * Occasional overtime is available
