Trading Systems Administrator - Hedge Fund

Job DescriptionOur client, a major Quantitative Hedge fund, is looking to hire an experienced Vendor Systems Administrator to support and maintain third-party systems and trading system applications.This is an excellent opportunity to play a crucial role in optimizing the firm's trading systems and processes and work with skilled Portfolio Managers, Traders and Developers.This role allows you to join one of the world's most successful hedge funds, collaborate with an exceptionally talented team operating in a hybrid approach, and earn market-leading compensation packages.Responsibilities:Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.Coordinate with external vendors for technical issue resolution and system upgrades.Implement and maintain automation tools and scripts.Assist in developing and implementing DevOps best practices.Participate in system upgrades and migrations.Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.Desirable Candidates:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.5+ years in a similar role within the financial industry, preferably hedge funds or asset management.Experience in vendor relationship management, contract negotiations, and SLA management.Proficiency in administering third-party vendor systems (e.g., trading platforms, risk management systems). Experience with Orchestrade, Geneva or Tradeweb is advantageous.Strong understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible preferred).Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or PowerShell).CQF Certification is advantageous.Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical teams, traders, portfolio managers, and vendors.To discuss the role in confidence, please reach out to Rhys at [email protected].
