PURPOSE OF THE ROLE • We are looking to hire a Knowledge Lawyer, who will be aligned with supporting the Tax & Structuring team.The role will concentrate on the generation, aggregation, and facilitation of access to top-tier precedents, sample documents, practice notes, training materials, and additional resources for our legal team and clients, with a commitment to regular reviews and updates to ensure the materials remain current and at the forefront of the market. • Strategically leverage legal knowledge and writing skills to create content that engages the Firm's target audiences, including clients, industry peers, and the wider legal community.

The Team bring specialist technical expertise to both UK and international clients, as well as an in-depth understanding across sectors as diverse as Retail and Consumer, Real Estate and Financial Services. Our core practice areas are corporate transactional (including in particular private equity), real estate and finance.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE

• Keeping fee-earners informed about legal developments and their implications, while actively identifying opportunities to leverage this information to strengthen client relationships. This includes planning and running weekly team training sessions and planning/managing training sessions aimed at more junior team members. • Overseeing the development and management of the Group's knowledge database and resources, alongside preparing internal practice notes, and streamlining processes for greater efficiency and technological advancement in legal services. • Pioneering and implementing innovative knowledge management and sharing strategies to benefit both colleagues and clients. • You will take an active interest in legal and sector developments relevant to the role, with the ability to spot trends and anticipate how these developments might impact our clients' businesses. • You will be able to convert these into ideas and outlines for articles and other types of thought-leadership content which you'll then pitch to Partners and other subject matter experts within the business. • You will network widely across our Firm, building relationships with relevant Partners and other subject matter experts within the business as sources of ideas, expertise, and sponsorship for thought leadership content. • Drafting and maintaining corporate precedents (included automated precedents) • Managing precedents, including drafting, and updating precedents, but also enlisting fee-earner contribution to precedent

Supporting our clients:

• Providing clients with updates on legal developments through briefings, thought leadership pieces, and horizon scanning. • Delivering client training sessions upon request (chargeable) or as complimentary services under panel terms and other agreements. • Offering ad hoc support for pitches by addressing tax issues relevant to the sector or specific matters.

YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

• Have an excellent commercial legal background, typically as a qualified solicitor (private practice or in-house) working in a corporate tax transactional focused role (ideally though not necessarily with experience of real estate and/or finance tax issues as well). You will have at least 5 years+ PQE. • Have demonstrable experience of accurately understanding and communicating changes in law and regulations to colleagues and clients in a concise and commercially relevant way. • Exceptional writing and editorial skills, with a proven track record of producing high-quality, engaging content. • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to align content creation with business development objectives. • Strong networking and relationship building skills.
