Environmental Officer – Industrial Waste £32k Bradford Flexible working hours between 7am and 4pm. 40 hours per week. --- Are you passionate about sustainability and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations? MDE are working exclusively with a major manufacturing business in Bradford who are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Environmental Officer to join our team. You’ll focus on managing industrial waste, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring full compliance with environmental legislation and documentation. Working closely with the Facilities manager, this role brings with a large amount of autonomy and resposibility to ensure the successful management and implementation of environmental practices.  What You’ll Do: Develop and implement effective industrial waste management strategies Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, permits, and industry standards Manage and monitor subcontractors, ensuring their operations meet environmental and contractual obligations Prepare, maintain, and review environmental documentation and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance Conduct audits, risk assessments, and waste analysis to identify areas for improvement Collaborate across departments to drive sustainability initiatives and reduce environmental impact Stay up to date with environmental legislation, ensuring the company and subcontractors are compliant Provide training and guidance on waste management and environmental compliance to internal teams and subcontractors What You’ll Bring: A passion for the Environmental Waste Management within Industrial, Manufacturing or Processing sectors. A solid background in environmental management, particularly in industrial or manufacturing sectors Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation, waste regulations, and documentation requirements Experience managing subcontractors and ensuring compliance with environmental standards Skills in waste auditing, data analysis, and sustainability initiatives Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies Relevant qualifications in Environmental Science or a related discipline Why Join Us?
