Job Title VNA Driver
Site location Trafford Park, Manchester
Responsible to Shift Manager
Purpose of the role To support the warehouse, Stock Rotation and Replenishment of customer goods with the safe operation of VNA (very narrow isle) trucks and use of hand scanners.
Client brief Our client is a world-renowned Warehousing organisation supporting blue chip companies with warehousing and distribution functions.

KEY INFORMATION

Reason for vacancy Increased Demand
Hourly Rate - £12.02ph, Overtime = 1.5x and 2.0x basic rate
Shifts Monday to Friday 6am-4pm OR 8am-6pm (candidates choice, they do not rotate)

Overtime Regular overtime available also
Holidays Accrual
Facilities Brand new flagship operation very well kept offering excellent facilities including free on-site parking, canteen areas (inclusive of all kitchen facilities and vending machines)

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role - Our client is looking for VNA Driver to support their existing team in their flagship Ambient (room temperature) Warehousing Operation in Trafford Park. As a VNA Operator, the requirements are varied but not limited to

  • Accurately and safely operating a VNA (very narrow isle) within site health and safety requirements at all times.
  • Rotating stock, storing and collecting products from pallets with use of VNA & handheld scanners.
  • Working within a team to complete daily warehouse targets.
  • Delivering a high standard of productivity at all times to ensure smooth operation within the warehouse.
  • Handling stock respectfully, with a high attention to detail.
  • All other generalist warehousing duties.

Key Skills Required -

  • Previous experience operating VNA trucks (very narrow isle) is essential.
  • VNA license holder is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience with handscanners is essential.
  • Must be reliable and committed.
  • Must be able to communicate in English to a high standard (verbal and written).
  • Flexible approach to duties and tasks.
