Senior Chemical Process Engineer

The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Process Engineer, to join a well-established Medical Device Company in Livingston. Our client is a leading manufacturer of hyaluronic acid injectables used in ophthalmic & orthopaedic medical procedures.The business is ISO 13485 accredited and has contributed to global healthcare for 25+ years, now forming part of a leading global group in optical and optoelectronics industries.The business has recently experienced a period of expansion and is positioning itself for further growth. We are recruiting a talented, dynamic, and self-motivated Senior Process Engineer to join the existing Engineering team.The Senior Process Engineer will directly contribute to producing medical products that improve the quality of life for millions globally.Key aspects of the roleOptimise existing production processes by analysing data, compiling debottleneck studies, and driving improvements through to completionTroubleshoot complex technical/chemical process challengesResponsible for the design, installation, and commission of new production processes/equipment with the view to optimise yield and efficiencyContribute to root cause analysis, and change/improvement proposalsSet up scale-up and scale-down processes, including updates to process FMEAs and changes to equipment design and configuration, as requiredAuthor, review and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentsSubject matter/process expertCompliance to ISO 13485 Applicant requirementsCirca 8 years’ experience in an equivalent role, with time spent in aa pharmaceutical or medical device bioprocess environment.Strong communication across all levels of the organisation with the ability to influence othersMEng/BEng in Chemical Engineering, or equivalent in a closely related disciplineDesirable but not essential IChemELean Six Sigma Green/Black belt certifiedApply as directed above, or contact Campbell Pratt | [email protected] for a confidential discussion.
