Pay up to £29,500, plus 28.97% employer pension contributions, hybrid working, flexible hours, and great work life balance. We are hiring Apprentice IT Service Managers. You'll earn as you learn during our 18-month apprenticeship, gaining a level 3 'Digital Support Technician' qualification. Joining our IT Asset Management Team (ITAM), you will be supporting the management of Software and Hardware on the DWP estate - the largest in UK government. You will join us on permanent basis, accessing funded learning to support progress in your role and career. You'll receive formal learning and loads of support to develop crucial skills in a secure and empowering environment. You'll be given one day a week (20% of your time) so you can work on completing your apprenticeship qualification within your working hours. We are looking for apprentices who have the following: Great communication skills The ability to work to deadlines The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team The ability to balance work responsibility and personal study A passion for building and developing your skills Pride in delivering engaging work that makes a difference Am I eligible for this apprenticeship? You need to mee the following minimum eligibility criteria: Hold a valid passport/birth certificate or residence permit Have the right to live and work in the UK Must have lived in the UK and/or EEA for 3 years prior to apprenticeship start date or hold some form of exemption Not be in full-time education or be undertaking another apprenticeship by the apprenticeship start date You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject You must hold GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or equivalent or be willing to undertake and pass a functional skills assessment. IT Asset Management is all about ensuring that the Software we use is maintained, upgraded, tracked and used optimally. You'll have the opportunity to develop your technical skills in an organisation that makes a difference to UK citizen's lives. We make sure that our services are working when people need them. You'll learn what it takes, working with the ITAM team during your 18 month study. You'll build up knowledge of the processes and techniques needed to maintain software and ensure value for money.
