UK Trade Marketing & Activation Manager

Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. Internationally we export some 240 different products to over 100 countries worldwide.The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef, and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.Applications are invited for the above position to work as part of our Trade Marketing Team in our Bromley office.The RoleThe marketing position involves the development and oversight of trade marketing and activation plans for our UK Foodservice business line.The role requires proactive leadership and collaborative development of brand plans working with the entire Foodservice & Consumer Foods Division for growing both National & Independent business, aligning activities with our strategic objectives.The PersonThe role requires a candidate to have relevant experience in a marketing role in a UK Foodservice landscape demonstrating a strong understanding of the industry including channel strategy, knowledge of on-trade groups and national accounts. Previous experience in a trade marketing or activation role involving the creation and implementation of annual plans delivering ROI for business is required as well as experience of managing people. The successful candidate will be able to inspire their team members and have a mindset and behaviour to improve self, others and the business.The candidate must be able to demonstrate established classic and creative marketing skills, and strong exposure to brands. The successful candidate will have a high level of confidence and tenacity and maintain and build strong relationships with key on-trade customers to provide opportunities to showcase brands and help reach sales targets. It is essential that candidates have experience in managing & successfully delivering multiple projects within deadlines and to budget.Experience in the dairy industry and with UK Foodservice trade show planning and implementation while not essential would be considered advantageous. The role requires a candidate to have a degree level education (or equivalent) ideally within Marketing, Communications or Business.
