The Company Our client is a well-established and respected construction company with over 50 years in the industry; as a tier 1 contractor they have an impressive private and public portfolio of build, refurbishment and expansion projects with values in excess of £200m+. They are a principal supply chain partner on a number of a high-profile framework agreements and are a trusted organisation who are strongly cash positive with a healthy track-record of profit growth. The Project As an experienced Site Manager, you will oversee the site team on a £25m new build industrial warehouse in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. You will play a crucial role in the successful completion of the project and will ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, carefully manage documentation and progress reports for stakeholders. Requirements For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum; SMSTS First Aid CSCS CardIt is also essential that you hold the experience below; Strong history of working as a Site Manager or a similar position on new build projects in the industrial sector with build values in excess of £10m Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience in managing construction teams across various sectors/projectsAdditional skills; Superb negotiation abilities Competent IT / software skills Comprehensive Health and Safety knowledge Effective communication skills, verbal and written Ability to organize and manage project schedules A solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards Proven ability to lead, support, and direct a team effectively Knowledgeable of construction processes, techniques, and materials In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building processes Exceptional focus on detail to ensure adherence to quality standards and specificationsThe Role Job Title: Site Manager Job Type: Permanent Project: £25m New build industrial warehouse Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire Reporting to: Project ManagerDuties Chair regular site meetings Liaise with stakeholders and sub-contractors Report and work closely with Project Director Coordinate tasks among various construction phases Handle any arising issues or conflicts throughout the project duration Keep track of project expenditures, remaining within budget constraints Oversee workmanship and materials to verify they align with project standards Adhere to health and safety regulations and policies during all work operations Communicate regularly and effectively maintaining strong relationships with clients Recognise possible threats to the project, implementing strategies to address them Monitor resources, such as equipment and materials, ensuring they are used efficiently Provide guidance and support to project teams, assuring they are motivated and focused Coordinate across multiple trades to uphold a smooth workflow and achieve timely completion Manage daily site activities, overseeing the supervision of workers, sub-contractors and suppliers Create comprehensive project plans, encompassing schedules, resource allocation, and financial outlines Serve as the main point on contact between project team, clients and stakeholders, delivering frequent progress updates Managing resources such as materials, equipment, and labor to ensure they are used efficiently and effectively Keeping accurate records of all aspects of the project, including contracts, permits, change orders, and correspondence Organize and supervise inspections conducted by regulatory authorities, ensuring necessary corrections or adjustments are promptly addressed Foster and sustain positive client relationships by addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the project's progress This is a permanent position with an excellent salary on offer for the successful candidate.
