Role: Social Media Executive

Contract: Full-Time (35 hours), Permanent

Location: Havant, Hampshire, PO9 1QJ

Working Arrangements: Hybrid Working (3 days per week office based)

About the role: We’re on a mission to reignite our social channels and are looking for a creative, passionate individual to join our talented marketing team. The successful candidate will primarily be focused on growing our TikTok channel by creating native content that drives engagement and increases brand awareness at scale.

Social Media Executive Responsibilities:

• Work with the Social Media Manager, and the Social Media Executive to create first class social content for UK and US channels, led by an agreed social strategy and plan linked to the brand, season, campaign, customer moments and product stories. This will include copywriting of Stories and grid posts, filming and editing of content as well as briefing creative and the studio.

• Devise and implement innovative ways of utilising FatFace social media channels to engage with existing and new audiences.

• Create briefs and work closely with the creative team to develop social assets (including video) for organic posts and stories across all FatFace social channels as well as react to trade performance, working at pace to deliver new activity across channels to optimise performance.

• Write copy for social media posts and stories, considering FatFace tone of voice as well as what best suits each channel.

• Capture content – whether photography or videos for use on social, including editing of content.

• Track and report social performance across all platforms, bringing insights and inspiration to the monthly social meeting and present findings to the Brand & Communications Director.

• Work alongside the Social Media Executive to proactively identify and suggest influencer partners, building strong relationships with agencies and engaging with creators for both paid and organic content

Engage with internal colleagues to collect relevant EGC/ UGC that will support our social media plan.

• Assist with identifying and developing brand partner lists, building and owning partner relationships to develop our competition programme with the aim of growing our Instagram following.

Keep on top of social media trends, emerging platforms and competitor activity



Social Media Executive Requirements:

•Previous social media marketing experience – minimum of 1 year

• Obsession with social media with a customer centric approach

•Excellent understanding of existing social platforms for us (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) and passionate about discovering emerging opportunities

• Proven experience of executing strong brand social media activity

•Experience of creating strong visual content alongside engaging and accurate copy

• A background in fashion or retail will be advantageous

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage multiple projects and prioritise workload, with an excellent attention to detail

• An ability to create and execute activity that engages customers

• A clear and articulate communicator, at all levels

•Creative, with a strong passion for the brand

•Innovative, able to adapt ideas from other industries/brands and spot opportunities for us to apply

• An ability to analyse data to produce insight reports

• Strong team player, able to work cross-functionally & build internal & external relationships but also able to work on own initiative
