Overview:
We are looking to recruit a Hygiene Assistant to work within our Edinburgh Facility. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 17:00 to 02:00.
Role:
The purpose of the Hygiene Assistant role is to effectively carry out hygiene operations, internal and external. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that storage areas and equipment where required are stripped, cleaned and reassembled in accordance with recognised procedures, practices, always maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, including Company Procedures and Health & Safety to continually produce safe food.
Reporting to: Hygiene Manager
Duties include:
- Carrying out scheduled daily cleaning tasks.
- Cleaning of processing equipment and production lines to meet required standards which are measured through testing of samples.
- Assisting the Hygiene Manager and Technical Department for site visits and audits.
- Ensuring that cleaning and personal protective equipment is always functioning correctly by doing regular checks.
- Being responsible for site deep cleaning to the required levels, with use of cleaning instructions and schedules.
- Ensuring all paperwork is correctly completed.
- Conducting all duties in compliance with the appropriate regulatory requirements.
