Remote Work Policy: While primarily an office-based role, remote working options are considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of management
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000, negotiable based on experience, with an annual review in January
Holidays: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with a half-hour lunch break
Professional Development: Access to a comprehensive study support package for ACA or ACCA students, with accreditation as an ICAEW Authorised Training Employer and ACCA Approved Employer (Platinum level)
Role Overview:
The firm serves a diverse range of clients, from small owner-managed businesses to larger entities with annual turnovers reaching £55 million.
Responsibilities Include:
Preparing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies across various sectors
Completing business tax and corporation tax computations
Preparing VAT returns and generating management accounts
Conducting ad hoc projects as required by clients
Engaging with clients to gather necessary information and address any queries
Candidate Profile:
Proven experience in accounting practice, covering all aspects of taxation, management information, and statutory compliance
ACA or ACCA qualification, or part-qualified
Experience preparing accounts for owner-managed businesses, including statutory financial reporting
Ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities effectively
Strong interpersonal skills, with confidence in client interactions via phone, email, and in person
Proficiency in IT, particularly Excel
Keen attention to detail and accuracy in work
Initiative in problem-solving and the ability to travel to client locations as needed
