Our Arboriculture team is at the heart of these services, offering full-cycle tree-related support, from pre-development surveys and impact assessments to on-site monitoring and long-term management planning. Collaborating closely with architects, ecologists, and local planning authorities, we focus on identifying opportunities for tree retention and integration while managing necessary removals and mitigations. The Opportunity: We are seeking ambitious Arboricultural Consultants at all levels to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for tree care to make a lasting impact. You’ll have the chance to join an ecology and arboriculture team within a larger multi-disciplinary setup, working alongside our ecologists, GIS specialists, and other environmental experts and help shape the future of our arboriculture services. What You'll Do: Prepare tenders and proposals, positioning Lucion as the go-to consultancy for arboricultural services. Provide expert advice on tree-related matters at all stages of development, particularly during pre-planning design and applications. Develop and promote our arboriculture services, helping to expand our client base and strengthen our reputation. Lead on visual tree and hedgerow assessments, baseline condition reports, and site monitoring throughout project lifecycles. Collaborate closely with local authorities, planners, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant UK legislation, including Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and BS 5837: 2012. Manage and advise on felling licenses and the preparation of forestry, tree, and woodland management plans. What You'll Bring: A National Diploma in Arboriculture or equivalent degree. A deep understanding of tree defects, diseases, and risk management. Extensive site monitoring and project supervision experience, with a passion for delivering high-quality work. Strong knowledge of UK Planning Legislation and Tree Preservation Orders . The ability to work collaboratively with local authority officers, planners, architects, and ecologists. Experience with BS 5837: 2012 guidelines and a strategic approach to tree care in design, demolition, and construction settings. A full driving license and a willingness to travel across the UK as needed. Why Lucion?
