Job Description

Portfolio Manager

Are you an established Key Account Manager who is looking for the next step?

Motivated by finding the next potential product that hits a gap in the market?

Having supported the growth of this business for a number of years, we are now supporting the hire of a brand new Portfolio Manager, who will be tasked with identifying brand new opportunities to take niche generic alternatives to market.

Given that this business has doubled in size over recent years and their portfolio of products is consistently increasing, this has become an essential role to support the team.

You will be focused on generating new possibilities and also working on inbound leads for products that are not yet available on the market but could have a place. The challenge will be to identify the best products through engaging with your network and working with key data and metrics in order to present appropriate business cases.

This role will be hybrid, with the office based days working out of the head office in Surrey.

What you need:

  • Minimum of 5+ years in pharmaceutical sales – although it will likely be more in order to really demonstrate an understanding of the product ranges and potential opportunities
  • You must have an established and recent network within the primary care market across the UK
  • The ability to take a hands on approach in putting together business cases
  • Track record of influencing key stakeholder relationships
  • Understanding of the ABPI code of practice and its application
  • Project management experience and skills are desirable
