A renowned multi-disciplinary engineering consultant is looking for a highly talented Director - Traffic Engineering to join their team in Dubai! This is an exciting opportunity to lead and expand their Smart Mobility Solutions practice in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex traffic engineering and planning studies for road and transit projects
- Manage a diverse portfolio including corridor studies, traffic impact assessments, smart mobility strategies, and more
- Oversee traffic operations analysis, traffic control, and management design deliverables
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of traffic engineers, transport modelers, and planners
- Engage in business development activities, including project methodology and proposal preparation
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to ensure state-of-the-art services
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
- 20+ years of technical experience, with 5 years in project management
- Proficiency in transport modelling software (e.g., VISSIM, Synchro)
- Advanced understanding of traffic flow theory, transportation planning, and traffic simulation models
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Familiarity with traffic engineering standards and guidelines
Preferred Skills:
- Professional Engineer (PE, P.Eng., C.Eng.) or Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification
- Experience with Transportation Demand Management (TDM), Active Traffic Management (ATM), and soft mobility solutions
