The Role: As a Specialist Tutor at New Way Tuition Ltd, you'll be a vital part of our team, providing personalised tutoring and support to students with specific educational needs. We are looking for individuals who have experience and qualifications in the following areas: - **Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)** - **Selective Mutism** - **Global Developmental Delay** - **Behavioural Challenges** - **Makaton** In this rewarding role, you will conduct one-to-one and/or small group sessions tailored to the needs of each student. Sessions may take place in students' homes, local libraries, or schools, depending on individual circumstances. Your Mission: - ?? Provide specialised tutoring to students with diverse needs, including those with ASD, Selective Mutism, Global Developmental Delay, and behavioural challenges. - ?? Inspire and motivate students to overcome obstacles and achieve their academic goals. - ?? Build strong, supportive relationships with students and their families through clear communication and genuine care. - ?? Adapt teaching methods to suit the unique learning styles and needs of each student. - ?? Utilise Makaton and other relevant tools to enhance communication and learning. Qualifications: At New Way Tuition Ltd, we value expertise and dedication. We are looking for candidates who possess: - Experience working with children or young people with ASD, Selective Mutism, Global Developmental Delay, or behavioural challenges. - Experience with Makaton. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. - Relevant qualifications in education, special education, or a related field. - A current Enhanced DBS is essential.
